Seega is an ancient Egyptian game enjoyed by children in Egypt to this day. The SeegaT3 app faithfully recreates the traditional Seega game depicted in the renowned American textbook "Everyday Mathematics." In this strategy game, two players face off, each entrusted with three pieces of either red or blue color, positioning them on the top and bottom rows of a 3x3 grid. Taking turns, players can move a piece one or two squares horizontally, vertically, or diagonally, with the objective of aligning their three pieces in a row — a victory akin to Tic Tac Toe, yet distinct from the starting line.
To initiate a match, users can tap the "Setup" button to opt for a game against the computer or another individual. In solo mode, players can choose their color and select from three skill levels for the computer opponent. For multiplayer matches, there's even an option to rotate the grid automatically after each turn. Game settings allow for configuring the starting player as red, blue, or alternating between games. By default, players face off against the computer at the easiest level, assuming the red pieces and making the first move.
During gameplay, tapping on a piece reveals its viable moves highlighted by green borders. To execute a move, players need only tap on an empty square outlined in green. The selection is indicated by a continuing green border until they choose their next move. Additionally, a color bar in red or blue near the starting line signifies which player is to take their turn next.
To reset the game state, users can tap on "Reset," while "Share" allows them to email a friend with an App Store link to download SeegaT3. Tapping on "Help" provides detailed instructions on gameplay.
Do note that this version of SeegaT3 requires an internet connection to display advertisements and support the game's functionality. Users seeking an ad-free experience or offline gameplay may consider purchasing the standard edition of SeegaT3.
